Challenging Mental Constructs
Happy Monday!

I read this and I can almost see how this could be threatening to some, heck even to me.
Letting go of mental constructs is a painful process. For some, it means a challenge to our sense of security. For others, it is the fear of settling (because this is how it appears to them). Still for others, these lines do not seem possible because of the many obligations they have and surrendering the struggles would seem irresponsible.
I get that. We need to feel secured, we need to achieve, we need to be responsible.
Then again, in the rat race, do we actually get these? Do we ever feel secure? Do we ever feel we feel good on top? Do we actually take care of everything to the point that there is nothing more to take care of?
What if we could stop for a moment and examine how our daily grind is nourishing the essence of our goals? Is it making our relationships better? Is it building your character and the character of the people around you? Is your everyday activity healing you and making you joyful and excited to wake up to live the life you have ahead of you?
Why can we not be fulfilled instead of secured, capable instead of achieving, empowering instead of responsible?
If what you are doing now is giving you these, congratulations! If not, then it is time to course correct. 🙂 A little sight seeing along the road of possibilities will not hurt.
Enjoy the week!
