Protect Your Peace

Happy Monday!

Who or what is stealing your peace?

Is it a colleague who seems to be taking credit for your hard work? Would it be that person who always finds malice in all that you do? Are you unsettled by the government, by scandals within your church, or relationship squabbles within the family? Do you lose sleep because of financial concerns?

Although all of these things can trouble you, they will not steal your peace unless you let them. They may be real concerns but they do not have the power to unsettle you until you allow worry, fear, doubt or powerlessness overcome you.

Your peace is your responsibility. You cannot blame others when you lose it.

Where is the lack of peace coming from?
From our need to control things and people?
From finding a need to own, get, keep?
From giving more than needed credit to what others think of you?
From following people and not processes?
From doubting that God will tide you through because you are loved and because you are in the side of good.

Whatever it is that is destroying your peace, examine it, define it and face it with courage.

Guard your peace with trust in the Lord and the humility of knowing that He is in control
