When You Don't Feel Good About Yourself

Happy Monday!

Oh yes, despite struggling to be positive, there are days when you simply could not do anything right. It happens and it could really take a toll not only on how you feel, but on how you see yourself.

So before one single event spiral you down to self doubt, let us look at some things to do when we do not feel good about ourselves.

Putting yourself away from the situation you are into may also be necessary. Get a new perspective either on your own by thinking as a third party or by talking to trusted friends. Choose these friends wisely.

Choose those who are objective, those who will show you a way to find a solution and not make you justify your problem or self doubt.

I think this is what all the thinking should lead you. It’s a tall order to think you won’t have bad days, bad decision or bad temper all the time. Accept that you falter. It is not the end.

You are not your bad day, nor your bad decision, nor your bad temper. Things happen and as long as you don’t make it permanent, things will get better.

This is the single most important step to take -make reparations.

Sometime we will be forgiven. Sometimes our effort will be enough. Sometimes, we wont be forgiven, nor our efforts be enough to rectify the situation. However, trying and taking steps to make amends will determine how things would be moving forward. Not only that, this will define how you are in handling bad situations.

Let not the gloominess hold you back. Face forward and get to work. We may not be able to take back time, but we can make better use of our time henceforth. Let our good works, better decision or better disposition drown the memory of what was unpleasant in the past.

Everyday is a decision to be better than yesterday. Inch by inch, as long as we do not stop.

Time is always a friend to those who use it wisely. In times when situations get out of hand, pause. Give yourself time to think things through. Yes, you may feel rushed to decide immediately after a wrong decision but it is more important to make a wise decision than a fast decision.

Pause. Think. Consider.
