Christmas 2020

Image
Happy Monday! Are you feeling Christmas yet?  Every year I yearn for that childhood feeling of Christmas this time of year.  All the traditions, eating, merry-making, decors, songs and stories of childhood Christmas sort of created for us that template of how Christmasses should "feel" like. Not very different with how we always want to feel special on our birthdays.   So you seek that template and you find yourself in 2020.  What happens?  Yes, Christmas celebration as we know it changed.  It will feel different.  Maybe, it is a good thing.  This year, instead of looking for the "feeling" of Christmas, we can concentrate on being grateful we actually found ourselves alive on Christmas eve.   Instead of being flooded with gifts, appreciate the providence that has allowed you to keep afloat despite having less income or fewer opportunities.  Instead of that new place you'd be discovering, stay with yourself and explore who you've become this year. Instead of

3 Mindsets to Bring Back the Joy of Giving

#forwordfriday time! 🙂  Giving is a joyful activity.  We should feel privileged to have the capacity to be generous. However, we don't always feel that way.  Watch this video and let us talk about 3 ways we can look at giving so that it can bring us back joy and encourage us to learn in this exchange of each other's abundance.  This will also be our last #forwordfriday for 2020. I am grateful to share moments with you this year.  Till 2021!! 🥳🥳  See you again soon!!!  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! #joyinmetoday  #economyofinspiration

Giving

Happy Monday! 'Tis the season for giving!  How is your giving going? There are people who feel they could not give enough. There are also those who feel they are giving too much.   How do we find a balance?  It depends.  Giving too much to the wrong people can be tiresome, draining and will leave you feeling depleted. Yet, these people can still leave you feeling you have not given enough.   Not giving enough to the right people because you've been burned before may cause these people to either act in the same calculated manner or may turn them away all together.  See the difference?  First, it depends... on who you give it to.  It does not stop there though. It also depends on the giver - you.   Why do you give? Are you giving what you do not have because you want to please? Are you expecting anything in return?  Is your act of giving nourishing or demanding?  Yes, its a two-way street.  I'd say the divide is defined by INTENTION.   What would be ideal?  1. That we give wi

What Does It Mean To Be Strong?

#forwordfriday time!  When we are having difficulties, people always say, "Be strong". What does it mean to be strong?  Watch 👇📺

I Am Strong, but...

Happy Monday!!! How would you complete the sentence? If I were to complete this.. I'd say,  "I am strong, but I don't have to be all the time".  That is a truth I have accepted, embraced and dare I say, enjoyed through the years.  There is grace in following the slopes of our daily circumstances.  We constantly work on being better, stronger, kinder, happier. That is within our control.  However, the circumstances aren't. So while we may be carrying the same strength in us, we welcome times of vulnerability and trusting that others joining us in the journey will carry a part of the load.  Do you have people around you who would do this for you?  1. Recognize these people and treasure them. Share them your journey.  2. Let them help you.  Sometimes, we won't put down or share a load unless absolutely necessary.  However, by that time, we would have already felt resentment, too tired to pass the baton, or too deep into the hole alone we could not involve anybod
